sMaac loves to give back to the community, but there is one place that holds a special place in our hearts, Damar Services; more specifically, ABA Autism Services at Damar. Many people do not realize how difficult the holiday season can be for the special needs community and their families. Many of these children cannot go to the mall to sit on Santa’s lap due to overstimulation or families struggling to purchase items for their children with special needs. That is why sMaac Digital created a fun way to experience Christmas and make a difference in these children’s lives. We ask the facilities what wish list items can be impactful and connect fun with therapy.
This year will be the 5th annual Connecting the Pieces of Christmas event on December 18, 2024.

Highlights
Connecting the Pieces of Christmas starts with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus arriving at Damar’s Fall Creek location with a “sleigh” full of tools that help the children with everyday learning. The children are all invited to sit on Santa’s lap, one by one, in a controlled environment, and Santa gives each child a gift to unwrap. The moment is captured by a picture that is printed out and sent home with the child.

We are currently seeking donation requests to support children with autism by providing essential resources and services that can help them thrive. Your donations will assist in funding educational programs, therapy sessions, sensory tools, and community outreach initiatives tailored to meet the unique needs of children on the autism spectrum.
